How War Academy SvS points work
During State vs State, War Academy scores mainly on the Fire Crystal Shards you pour into research: roughly Fire Crystal Shards × 1,000 SvS points, plus an extra acceleration bonus for the research speedups you burn to finish each node. Because the upgrades are timed, spending shards and completing the research both feed your score, so a single node can pay out on two fronts.
For example, push a node that costs 40,000 Fire Crystal Shards. The shards alone are worth about 40,000 × 1,000 = 40,000,000 SvS points, before you add whatever research speedups you spend to complete it. Finish the node while the scoring window is open and that full shard total lands on the day.

What are Fire Crystal Shards used for?
Fire Crystal Shards (FCs) are required for War Academy research. They are different from Fire Crystals used on buildings — the calculator tracks shard costs specifically.
How are War Academy SvS points calculated?
War Academy SvS points are based on Fire Crystal Shards × 1,000 plus a speed-up component (research time). The calculator estimates the total for your selected research.
Should I rush War Academy research?
War Academy bonuses are powerful but expensive. Plan the shard and time cost here, then schedule research around the SvS research day to double your event points.
What's the difference between the War Academy and the Research Center in Whiteout Survival?
The Research Center uses standard resources (meat, wood, coal, iron) plus time and has no Fire Crystal Shard cost, while the War Academy is unlocked later and is fueled by Fire Crystal Shards. That shard cost is exactly why the War Academy is such a heavy SvS points source in WOS.
Does the War Academy calculator account for research speedups?
Yes. On top of the Fire Crystal Shard cost you can enter your research speedup minutes, because finishing a timed War Academy node with speedups also adds SvS points. This lets you see the full point payout, not just the shard portion.
Why did my War Academy research give fewer SvS points than I expected?
Points come from the Fire Crystal Shards you spend and the speedups you burn during the scoring window, not from research you queued earlier. If a node finished before State vs State opened, or you spent shards on a different day, those points won't land where you wanted them.
